We do not currently sell your personal identifiable information to third parties, and we do not use your data for advertising purposes. In the future, we may share anonymised, aggregated shopping behaviour data (such as product popularity trends and regional pricing patterns) with retailers and consumer packaged goods brands. This data cannot be used to identify you individually. We will update this policy and notify you before any such sharing begins, and you will have the right to opt out.
We collect and store your home address and approximate geographic coordinates (latitude and longitude) to enable distance-based store sorting. This data is stored securely on our servers and is only used to power features within the app.
You may delete your account at any time to permanently remove your location data from our servers.
You can opt out of having your price submissions linked to your account at any time in Settings → Privacy. When opted out, your price submissions are stored anonymously and still contribute to community pricing data, but they will not be attributed to your account and will not count towards your contribution tier or scan stats. Your location data and other account information are unaffected by this setting.

Future data licensing: We intend to offer anonymised, aggregated shopping trend data to retailers and consumer packaged goods companies as a commercial service. Any data shared in this context will be stripped of all personally identifiable information and cannot be linked back to individual users. We will notify users and update this policy before this service launches, and will provide a clear opt-out mechanism.
We may also disclose your information if required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Pinch Savings, our users, or the public.
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service.
When you delete your account, all personally identifiable information associated with your account — including your name, email address, password, home address, and location coordinates — is permanently deleted within 30 days. Your shopping lists, saved stores, and favourites are also deleted.
Any residual usage data (such as product interactions or trip patterns) is fully anonymised at the point of account deletion, meaning all identifiers are stripped and it cannot be linked back to you in any way. This anonymised data may be retained for product improvement and, in future, for our aggregated data licensing service.
We may retain certain data beyond 30 days where required by law or for legitimate fraud prevention and compliance purposes, but this data will never be used to identify or contact you.
